Baby Shower

My sister in-law (Kim) and my mom threw me a baby shower yesterday. It was a lot of fun. Kim had a lot of fun things planned. we had a lot of decorations and we played guess how big around Diedre is with a piece of string, and a points game ex. give yourself two points if you are wearing blue, two points if you were born in Boise, negate 5 points if you are wearing pink, stuff like that. It was fun, I got a lot of fun cute clothes, which is really nice to have., and a few other fun things thanks everyone it's a BIG help. Here are a few pictures of the party. Thank you Kim and mom for making such a wonderful party!

Here is Kim measuring my belly a whole 47 inches. Wow I didn't realize how big I am, There was one person who guessed with the string that I was over 72 inches wide. haha

My niece Isabelle was my little helper she was so excited about all of the gifts. She kept saying "Oh Krew will really like that one" She's so excited for Krew to be here. She keeps asking if he can come and stay the night when he comes, I try to explain to her that he's going to be too small when he comes to do somethings and he's really going to need his mommy, her response is it'll only be two days he doesn't need his mom all the time. I don't think she quite gets it but it's really cute how excited she is.

Here is Destenee and Isabelle holding the party favors, with M&M's, peanuts, and a mint mmm. I am holding the diaper cake that my mom and I made, So much fun I think we did a good job with it.

Here's Kim, my mom, and me. (Can you tell that we are pretty proud of our monkey diaper cake? ha ha.) Thank you Both for all of your help and support.

8 Months Gone

So today was my day off of work and Diedre and I decided to take some pregnancy pictures since Krew might be coming pretty soon now...  So we put a black sheet on the wall and took a few pictures and this was our favorite one!!!    Krew is moving around so much now a days, and Diedre even woke up yesterday and said, "Wooo I think that he has finally turned all the way around."  So I suppose he is in the rocket seat and ready for launch!  We are so excited!!!

Confident Birthing

Saturday Brandon and I went to our confident birthing class. It was AWESOME, it really actually made me feel more confident in giving birth. She gave Brandon a few techniques to help me while I'm in labor, and me some techniques to cope with the pain. Now I know some of you might think that I'm crazy but now I'm thinking I want to try a full natural birth, it just seems like it's the right thing for me, if I can't do it I have no problem asking for an epidural, but the more I think about it the more I feel like I really want to try having a natural birth. I think a big part of my decision is from this class, she really made me feel like I could do it, that my body was made to do it, my body knows what it's doing I just need to learn how to cooperate with my body. Another thing that I really liked about  the class is I felt kind of empowered like I can do anything, that I set my mind to. One thing though that I felt a little uncomfortable about is that I felt like she kind of looked down on us because I was giving birth in a hospital ( by the way she's a doula and works with midwifes more than anything) she would say things like "you'll have to work harder on that though because you'll be at a hospital." or "You'll probably have a harder time being as comfortable in a hospital" But frankly I think i would be more comfortable knowing that if I did have any complications, the doctors are right there to help me. Anyway, Overall this class was so great we are so glad that we went, it gave us so much helpful information and I'm getting more and more excited everyday to finally have Krew here in my arms!!

Little Blind Old Ladies!!!

So... I know that you all would much rather hear from Diedre, but I have quite the story to share.  I shall entitle it - "Little Blind Old Ladies"!!!

I am pretty sure that Diedre has shared with everyone that I am working at an optometrists office for the summer.  This is for my internship and I am really having a grand ole' time!!  Well anyway so right now they have me working in the back Lab actually grinding the lenses and making peoples prescriptions correct in their new frames.  (By the by, pink frames should never be used for Green Lenses!!  You look like a little leprechaun ninny with bad taste.  But that is beside the point) So this little old lady came in, I believe that she was about 87 years old and she is quite frankly the blindest woman that I have ever met!!!  Even blinder than Sami my sister!  Just to give you an idea of how blind she was Diedre has a -1.75 prescription, I have a -8.00 prescription, Mr. Magoo has a -14.25 prescription, and this lady has a  -17.5 prescription.  So besides being a little old lady she looked like a Mole with magnifying glasses taped to her face.  So I look at her and I look at her prescription and I just laugh and just jokingly say to her, "don't you think it is about time to just give up and get yourself a dog?"  To which I realized just how rude little old ladies can be... she didn't even crack a smile at my joke!!!  Anyway so the moral of the story is that... well there is no moral life is just funny sometimes!!  Talk to you all later!!!
